Age & Eligibility

Under federal law (the Gun Control Act), a licensed dealer may transfer rifles and shotguns only to individuals 18 or older and handguns only to individuals 21 or older. State or local law may impose stricter requirements. You represent that you are legally eligible to purchase and possess firearms and are not a prohibited person under 18 U.S.C. § 922(g) (including, among others, persons convicted of certain crimes, subject to qualifying protective orders, or unlawful users of controlled substances).

Background Checks & Transfers

Any sale or transfer of a firearm is conducted in compliance with federal and South Carolina law, including processing through a licensed Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL) and any required background check. Armoring, Assembly & Custom Builds

Custom work is performed in compliance with the Gun Control Act, the National Firearms Act (NFA), and ATF regulations (27 CFR Parts 478/479). We do not build, assemble, or modify firearms into illegal configurations or unregistered NFA items. Manufacturing of frames or receivers, and certain build work, may require a manufacturer's license rather than a dealer/gunsmith license. [VERIFY: confirm FFL type — gunsmith/dealer (Type 01) vs. manufacturer (Type 07) — and scope of services accordingly.] Customer-owned firearms are handled and returned in accordance with applicable recordkeeping rules.

Concealed Weapons Permit (CWP) Classes

In South Carolina, the Concealed Weapons Permit is issued by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED), not by Geechie Gunner. CWP training must be conducted by a SLED-certified instructor and must meet SLED's requirements, which include live-fire qualification and state-mandated topics (such as de-escalation, weapons retention, holster draw and carry, and legal considerations). Completing a class does not guaranteethat SLED will issue a permit — that decision is solely SLED's. Assumption of Risk & Required Waiver

Participation in any live-fire or hands-on activity carries inherent risk of serious injury or death. Before participating, every student must read and sign Geechie Gunner's liability waiver, release, and assumption-of-risk agreement in person.
